In the construction of a pig barn in Lierderholthuis (Overijssel), Bouwimpex supplied fire-retardant plastic panels for various applications. For instance, the Bouwplast-plus FR panels were used for the division walls, the pen arrangement, and the ventilation system.

Ventilation via cavity wall

The ventilation system in the barn is largely realized using Bouwplast-plus FR panels.

• Fresh air enters the barn through the cavity wall. The inner cavity wall consists of Bouwplast-plus FR panels.
• Airflow enters the basements under the divisions through openings in the inner cavity wall.
• Through an air inlet made of Bouwplast-plus FR panels, fresh air flows from the basement into the barn. For this, panels in the special dimensions of 500/50 mm were used. The panels, which are open on both sides, are mounted against the wall, thereby connecting the basement with the divisions (see images).

Division walls and pen arrangement

For the division walls and pen arrangement, gray Bouwplast-plus FR panels were used. Thanks to the clever system with a unique click connection, the panels can be mounted both vertically (walls) and horizontally (pen partitions). The click system is standard equipped with an EPDM seal, creating a seamless and hygienic connection.

Skylight Bouwplast Easy

To ensure good daylight entry, skylights were installed, consisting of Bouwplast Easy plastic frames. Bouwplast Easy windows are known for their quality and quick, simple installation. The windows can be placed directly from the outside into the opening, as they are standardly equipped with a flange with EPDM leak seal.

Bouwimpex also supplied the doors in the new barn. The Agraplast plastic indoor doors are moisture-resistant, as are the Agraplast plastic outdoor doors. These sturdy, ultra-durable doors can be quickly installed and last a very long time.
