Welfare-friendly and sustainable calf barn in Ternaard (Friesland)
Vleeskalverhouderij de Graaf in Ternaard has built a completely new welfare-friendly and sustainable barn. The new barn features three sections under one roof, accommodating as many as 1,100 rosé calves.
In addition to a gas-free heating system with underfloor heating, the barn also includes the LuxAir daylight & air intake system for plenty of natural light and a supply of fresh air. The modern Bouwplast plastic window frames and Agraplast plastic interior doors provide a maintenance-free and comfortable barn with optimal light yield and a pleasant indoor climate. The ceilings and walls are equipped with fire-resistant insulation that has a very high insulation value. The Agrasteel FR fire-resistant steel interior doors combined with ASW-PIR FR insulation make this modern agricultural building not only energy-efficient and comfortable, but also safer against fire.
With all the sustainable facilities and installations, Vleeskalverhouderij de Graaf is ready for the future!
