At the pig farm ‘Van den Berkmortel’ in Sint-Oedenrode, Bouwimpex delivered high-quality plastic construction materials for the construction of new pig barns, taking into account the wishes and requirements of the client as well as the latest developments in barn design. Consideration has been given to fire safety, the supply of adequate light and fresh air in the barns, ease of cleaning, and a pleasant indoor climate for the animals.

The Bouwplast plastic window frames are equipped with insulating HR++ diffuse glass. Thanks to the flexible Bouwplast system, the plastic window frames have been additionally fitted with intake valves in collaboration with Scanair. The high insulation value in combination with diffuse glass ensures that there are no bright spots and hot spots in the barn. The Bouwplast plastic window frames are specially developed for the modern barn, look great, and are UV resistant and low maintenance.

The strength of the innovative LuxAir system is the combination of a Bouwplast window frame with an aerodynamic air intake valve. This effectively maximizes daylight intake and optimizes air supply and exhaust in the barn. The air intake valve can be combined with almost any type of Bouwplast window frame. Normally, two separate openings are required for a daylight system and an air intake system. With LuxAir, only one opening needs to be installed. This makes LuxAir an extremely efficient and cost-saving solution.

The construction of the barns is currently in full swing. For example, the walls made of white Bouwplast-plus FR panels are still being constructed. The walls are quick and easy to place, as the panels are delivered pre-cut. The high-quality plastic (PVC) panels with unique fire-retardant properties contribute to a safer barn. Thanks to the smooth surface, the walls are easy to clean and resistant to acids, ammonia, and disinfectants. This significantly improves hygiene in the barn.
