The Geurts family in Dodewaard built a sustainable and future-oriented pig barn.

This new barn is bright and has plenty of space. A large light strip has been installed, providing daylight inside the barn. Bouwplast-plus plastic panels have been used as housing arrangement, division walls, and air scrubbers. Additionally, Bouwimpex installed and supplied the fire-safe ASW-PIR FR insulation here.

In the barns, a pleasant climate prevails in summer and winter because the temperature and ventilation are fully computer-controlled. The Geurts family invested in an innovative biological air scrubber that filters 85% of all ammonia, odors, and dust from the barn air. This makes the barn non-polluting for its surroundings. An automatic feeding system ensures that each growing pig receives just the right amount of feed appropriate for its age. This keeps the pigs healthy and in top condition.
