At the end of 2017, work began on the new pig farm for the Ten Have-Mellema family. This summer, the project was completed. The innovative barn accommodates 4,900 pigs that are housed in a humane way, featuring a partially covered outdoor run with slats, a spacious solid lying area, and intake valves on the side of the barn. The barn meets the requirements of the Better Life quality mark with 2 stars and provides all the conditions to further develop its own animal-friendly pork concept, Hamlet.

Bouwimpex supplied, among other things, the LuxAir system (Bouwplast frames/windows in combination with intake valves), Bouwplast plastic window frames & corner pieces, and Bouwplast tilt-and-turn windows with ventilation grills. The interior of the barn is equipped with, among other things, Bouwplast plastic panels fire class B, ASW PIR FR insulation (fire class B-S2-D0), and Agraplast plastic interior doors with a stainless steel installation frame.
