For a new poultry barn in Nieuw-Annerveen, Bouwimpex supplied clerestory windows, fully tailored to the needs of the poultry sector: ample daylight and with diffused glass.

Comfortable for poultry: skylight with diffused glass

A good daylight provision is a requirement in the poultry sector. In barns, both for laying hens and broilers, at least 3% of the floor area must be provided with daylight. Daylight contributes to animal welfare and stimulates natural behavior. With the skylights from Bouwplast plastic frames, the new barn fully meets this standard.

The plastic frames are equipped with diffused glass, which ensures good light distribution. Diffused glass breaks the light rays, so no harsh shadows are formed, and daylight is evenly distributed throughout the barn.

The skylights are finally equipped with insulation couplings made of PVC plates.

Additionally, Bouwimpex supplied for this project:

• Bouwplast Easy plastic built-in windows for the technical room
  Standard color white, 1000 x 800 mm
• Agraplast plastic exterior doors
• Agrasteel FR fire-resistant door,

*Our fire-resistant doors are available in 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes of fire resistance and in many different sizes. (Very) tall doors are also possible.
