Want to install a Bouwplast door with cathedral glass? Head over to the bakery! Recently, a Bouwplast plastic door was installed at the store of bakery Aalbertsen in Woudenberg, executed in white and equipped with HR++ glass featuring one side cathedral glass.

Insulating glass with patterned glass

The patterned glass (cathedral) prevents anyone from looking in from the outside. This ensures privacy, also considering burglary prevention. However, standard patterned glass is single glazing, which has poor insulation. For this project, HR++ insulating glass was chosen, which consists of two glass panes with an insulating cavity in between. By making one of the two glass panes out of patterned glass, a glass type is created that offers privacy and good insulation.

Bouwplast doors in retail spaces

The plastic doors from Bouwimpex are very suitable for use in retail spaces and homes. The doors offer a high level of security and are standard equipped with a steel reinforcement core, automatic 3-point locking, and high-quality safety fittings. Additionally, Bouwplast doors require minimal maintenance – ideal for busy retailers.

In terms of design, Bouwplast doors can be produced in almost any project color and execution. For this project, a white door was chosen, which nicely complements the sleek, white storefront of the bakery.
