PVC Panels for Agricultural Buildings

PVC wall panels are widely used in modern livestock housing, providing a durable and hygienic alternative to traditional construction materials. For decades, they have been used to create easy-to-clean walls, pen partitions and ceilings in agricultural buildings.

Their smooth surfaces, resistance to demanding agricultural conditions and straightforward installation make Bouwplast PVC panels a practical choice for both new-build and renovation projects.  Compared with traditional brick or concrete walls, PVC panel systems can also offer advantages in terms of installation time, flexibility and overall construction costs.

Plastic panels are suitable for various agricultural applications, such as:

The panels can be applied both horizontally and vertically for walls, partition walls, and ceilings. Bouwplast panels are used for constructing:

  • Animal enclosures
  • Walls and ceilings
  • Partition walls
  • Air washers (interior lining)
  • Kennels

Bouwplast PVC panels are manufactured from rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride), a durable material with good impact and scratch resistance.

Rigid PVC is also resistant to ammonia and many of the cleaning and disinfecting agents commonly used in livestock buildings. The non-corrosive, smooth surface is easy to maintain, helping to support hygienic conditions over the long term.

Bouwplast-plus PVC panels and Bouwplast-plus-FR PVC panels use an interlocking system that connects individual panels to form a continuous wall or ceiling surface. The three available panel widths can be combined to achieve the required dimensions, whether the panels are installed horizontally or vertically. Integrated rubber seals help create tight, secure joints between the panels.

Bouwplast HP-V PVC panels, on the other hand, feature closed top and bottom edges and are not designed to interlock with one another. They are particularly suitable for hygienic pen partitions, where a smooth surface without horizontal panel joints is preferred. The HP-V system is available in five standard heights to accommodate different livestock housing requirements.
