1. Protection of Personal Data

Bouwimpex B.V. takes the privacy of personal data very seriously. Therefore, personal data will not be sold or provided to third parties. Data will only be processed for the purpose for which they are required and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Telecommunications Act.

2. Visitor Data

When the customer has subscribed to the e-mail newsletter or filled out a contact form, the customer will be asked to provide some information.

This may include the following information:
Name, Address, Postal Code, Place
Email, Phone Number

For what purpose are the personal data of visitors stored?

The data is collected and stored for the following purposes:

Name and email address are used for sending commercial newsletters when the visitor has voluntarily subscribed to the e-mail newsletter.
Bouwimpex B.V. stores this data in Mailchimp and will send the customer one email to request consent in order to comply with the GDPR. Without consent, this data will be deleted at the end of each month. This is also indicated on the respective forms.
When the visitor has subscribed to the e-mail newsletter and no longer wishes to receive emails, the visitor can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of the email or by contacting Bouwimpex B.V. The email address will be removed from the database immediately and will not be retained.

Name, address, postal code, place, email address, and phone number submitted via a contact form will be used to create a quote, mail brochures, and/or respond to the contact request. Personal data collected via the contact forms will not be used for commercial purposes.

3. Customer Data

Bouwimpex B.V. may use the data provided by the customer for the following purposes:
3a. Processing the order.
3b. Sending one or more emails related to the order, including but not limited to an email containing login details.
3c. (Occasionally) bringing attention to a product, tip, or trick that Bouwimpex B.V. believes may contribute to a more successful website for the customer.

Data for processing the order

First and Last Name:
To deliver the order to the correct person.

Address, postal code, city, and country:
For correct delivery of the order.

Phone Number:
To provide last-minute information about the order, billing, and/or delivery.

Email Address:
With each order, the customer will receive a confirmation and invoice by email from Bouwimpex B.V. once the order is received.

4. Providing Data to Third Parties

Data provided by the customer to Bouwimpex B.V. will never be shared with third parties. However, there are two exceptions to this rule:
4a. When a court order has been issued to provide data.
4b. When registering a domain name, certain data must be passed on to the relevant registering authority. Examples of such registering authorities include (but are not limited to): SIDN (for .nl domain names), RealTimeRegistrer (RTR), EURid (for .eu domain names), and DNS.be (for .be domain names).

5. Rights

5a. Right to access customer data:
The customer has the right and the ability to access the provided data at any time. Bouwimpex B.V. may request the customer to communicate the change in a manner prescribed by Bouwimpex B.V. and in some cases, identification may be required.

5b. Right to amend customer data:
The customer has the right and the ability to change the provided data at any time. Bouwimpex B.V. may request the customer to communicate the change in a manner prescribed by Bouwimpex B.V. and in some cases, identification may be required.

5c. Right to withdraw customer data:
The customer has the right and ability to restrict the processing of provided personal data or to request deletion. The customer also has the right and ability to request data portability of personal data. Bouwimpex B.V. may request the customer to communicate the change in a manner prescribed by Bouwimpex B.V. and in some cases, identification may be required. Bouwimpex B.V. will process the request within 4 weeks. Requests can be sent to us via email at sales@bouwimpex.nl

6. Retention Period

Bouwimpex B.V. does not retain data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was received. The data in the accounting and CRM system is retained for at least 7 years to comply with all legal obligations. This data will be deleted by Bouwimpex B.V. within 1 year after the expiration of this obligation. The above term applies unless there are further legal obligations for Bouwimpex B.V. to retain and/or keep the data available.

7. Security

Personal data stored in the email system goes through the servers of Mailchimp. The servers of Mailchimp are located in the United States. Therefore, personal data of email subscribers may be transferred, stored, and processed in the United States. The transfer of this data is done on the basis of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. More information about Mailchimp’s privacy policy can be found here. Bouwimpex B.V. has entered into a data processing agreement with Mailchimp.

The data provided by the customer to Bouwimpex B.V. is stored in a secure environment. Bouwimpex B.V. has taken appropriate technical measures to secure personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. These measures, including encryption via an SSL certificate, provide a security level that matches the data that Bouwimpex B.V. processes.

8. Changes

Bouwimpex B.V. reserves the right to change the privacy policy at any time.
